Altadena’s Local Businesses Need Us More Than Ever. The recent Eaton Fire left a lasting mark on Altadena. While many are focused on the damage to homes and open space, there’s another part of the community that’s quietly suffering—the small businesses. These beloved local spots are not only facing economic challenges from the fire’s impact but also struggling with limited insurance options, a lack of FEMA support, and very few grant opportunities. The Power of @BeautifulAltadena on Instagram

Amid the smoke and loss, @beautifulaltadena has become a hub of hope. Their feed is packed with updates on pop-ups, fundraisers, and recovery news. They’re connecting people, highlighting local stories, and reminding us of all the good that’s still happening here. If you’re not already following them, you should be.

What’s been truly inspiring, though, is seeing how the Altadena community has come together—neighbors helping neighbors, businesses supporting one another, and platforms like @beautifulaltadena keeping the spotlight on those in need.

Why This Matters

Altadena’s small businesses are part of what makes this community so special. They’re the morning coffee runs, the weekend wine stops, the neighborhood barbers, and the family-owned restaurants that greet you by name. Supporting them isn’t just about spending money—it’s about showing up, sharing love, and helping them weather a challenging time.

Here’s My Ask

Add just one or two of these local gems to your weekly routine. You don’t have to spend big. Grab a coffee. Get takeout. Shop on-line. Bring a friend. Every dollar counts—and every visit reminds these businesses they’re not alone.
