Dear Reader, Hello and welcome to March! Spring is finally here! It’s time to get outside, soak up some sunshine, breathe in the fresh air, plant something new, or enjoy a few peaceful moments in the garden. Now, let’s dive into this month’s inside scoop on real estate, community updates, and local news worth knowing.

I’m kicking things off with three brand-new listings coming soon. If any of these catch your interest or you know someone who might love them, I’m happy to share more! Pictures and links to properties Coming Soon!

  • La Cañada – 4390 Hayman Ave. Charming 2 bed / 2 bath, 1,535 sq. ft. fixer in a desirable flat, tree-lined neighborhood. $1,625,000.

As Altadena’s small business community continues to recover from the recent fires, it’s more important than ever to shop local and help bring back this once-vibrant neighborhood. Many of their beloved small shops are slowly reopening, and this is a great time to show some support and discover something new. From your morning coffee and an evening glass of wine to small grocery stores and unique local gems, these businesses have worked incredibly hard to get back on their feet. I’ve even written a short blog about their perseverance in reopening—be sure to check it out and consider visiting them. You might find a new favorite spot while helping rebuild a community.

A few local project updates worth noting: The City of Glendale was awarded a state grant of $5,762,370 to fund the creation of a Master Plan for the 9.4-mile Verdugo Wash Vision Project. In La Crescenta, construction has started on a long-term improvement project along La Crescenta Avenue. One significant change to expect is eliminating one lane in each direction to make room for new bike lanes. Learn more about he La Crescenta Rehabilitation Project. Meanwhile, Chamlian School’s variance to operate was renewed indefinitely, though not without some concern from nearby residents. The school also purchased additional land across the street for a future preschool.
